Face masks are a huge part of my weekly skincare routine. I am always looking for a good mask to try out or test out. I do have a few favorites I go back to because they worked well for me and my skin concerns. A few months ago my face had some dry areas and some oily areas. I have always had combination skin, meaning oily T-zone and normal rest of the face. Never really had a dry skin issue, I guess your skin changes as you get older, bummer.
About three months ago I started using Farmacy Bright On Massage-Activated Vitamin C Mask with Echinacea GreenEnvy. This mask has the perfect combination because it detoxifies your skin all while clarifying it with Vitamin C. I feel this is a great combination that may help with a range of skin concerns. Some people may get a bit scared off especially if you have sensitive skin and dry skin. As someone with dry areas and some sensitivity to some products, I can tell you it works amazingly for me. Farmacy used a very gentle formula. Designed to soothe your skin, it’s non-drying which makes it perfect for any skin type.
This product contains the following: “Micro-Encapsulated Vitamin C: Powerful antioxidant helps smooth, clarify, brighten, even skin tone and promote anti-aging benefits. Kaolin and Bentonite Clay: Helps detox skin by removing excess oil and impurities and diminishes the appearance of pores. Aloe + Superfood Blend: Apple, broccoli, kale, blueberry, and cucumber help nourish, moisturize and soothe. Fruit-derived AHA Blend: Bilberry, sugarcane, orange, lemon, and sugar maple deliver AHAs (lactic, glycolic, citric, malic and tartaric) to help promote cell turnover, brighten and soothe. Echinacea GreenEnvy™ (Cichoric Acid): Powerful antioxidant, helps support collagen, promotes an even skin tone and fights free radical damage for healthier looking skin.” Check out the Farmacy Beauty website for more information on ingredients.
I used this mostly at night but I have used it in the mornings on some occasions. After cleansing my face I apply a generous amount in a circular motion until color changes. Obviously I avoided my eye area. leave it on for about 5-10 minutes and then rinse off. I use this mask 2-3 times a week, sometimes once a week (hey I forget sometimes). Make sure you follow with sunscreen and your favorite moisturizer if you use the mask in the morning. At night just use your nighttime moisturizer and any other products you use at night time.
During the time I have been using Farmacy Bright On mask, my skin has been feeling smoother not so oily and not super dry. I feel this made my skin pretty normal. Even some acne scarring I had faded away noticeably. This leaves my skin really smooth even my pores look clean and smaller. Really love this mask and it has become one of my favorite masks. I definitely recommend it and would purchase it again once I run out. I do recommend you test it out before you decide to buy it. Everyone had different skin types and different reactions to products. Just because this worked amazingly for me doesn’t me it will work out for everyone. Just had to point that out.
What’s your favorite mask at the moment and why do you like?
