2017 Father’s Day Gift Guide

Hope you are having a good week so far. Father’s Day is just around the corner and I have to say that I am very grateful that I have a good dad. He had always looked out for my sisters and me. He worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed (the necessary, food, clothes, roof over our heads) when we were kids. Although, no one is perfect, I am glad I have my dad around. He is always there for us; my dad would do anything for his girls. Even baby-sit his nephew’s lol… (I do not have kids yet, but he does baby-sit my sister’s baby).

Not all dads have been present in their child’s life for one reason or another, which is sad. This makes mom the dad-mommy. For those whose dads are no longer with us, just know that they are watching over you where ever they are. May they rest in peace. Also, always remember to tell your dad you love him even if it is just a simple text.

Today, I wanted to share with you some great Father’s Day gift ideas for dad just in case you need to do some last minute shopping and needed some inspiration. I based these gift options on what I know my dad and my hubby would like as a gift. If you have already purchased a gift then maybe you can save this gift guide for his Birthday or Christmas, which will be here in no time.

Let’s start with some technology, we all know men are more into technology than we women are (There are some women that are very onto technology too!). Whether it is a new TV, new gaming system, smart watch or a new phone, you can’t  go wrong with these. I listed some great options down below that I think are a very good and dad will love it.

a. Fossil Gen 2 Smartwatch – Q Marshal Smoke Stainless Steel $275 b. Fossil Gen 2 Smartwatch – Q Wander Rose Gold-Tone Stainless $275 c. Apple Watch Space Gray Aluminum Case with Black Sport Band $269+ d. Fitbit Blaze starting at &149.95 up. e. Apple iPhone 7 $649. f. Apple iPad prices range from $399 up g. In addition, you can’t go wrong with getting dad some new clothes, shoes or sneakers at Macy’s. Maybe dad needs a new wallet or some sunglasses for the beach this summer. A nice cologne set is a great option too! Since they usually bring shaving creams or facial creams. If you have a handy man in the house, then a new set of tools at The Home Depot can be a nice gift as well. There are so many gifts options out there just make sure, dad knows you are giving it with love.

There are a lot of good dad’s out there. A gift is a nice gesture to show how we feel, but we should show them our love and appreciation all year round. Not everyone can be called dad.  The word Dad is earned, as my mom always said anyone could be a dad.  A man earns being called dad by, being there for their child, making sure that their child has everything they need, the necessary clothes, food and a roof over their heads. Most importantly that their child feels loved, protected and know their dad is always there for them.

I feel lucky I grew up with both of my parents and I am grateful for it. For those who grew up with one parent, love that parent even more. They did extra work to make sure you had a good childhood and grew up feeling loved. Although I am sure, nothing fills the void of not having both of your parents. It is good to be grateful for what that one parent did for you.

To all the awesome dad’s out there, Happy Father’s Day!

What are you doing for Father’s Day?
